The Calgary Football league gives boys and girls an opportunity to play football with an emphasis on fun, fair play and respect for others. Coaches build strong relationships teaching players skills for quarterbacks, defensive backs and offensive receivers. We strive to inspire and motivate youth both on and off the field.

Registrations will be for the ages listed as of September 1st 2024.
Boys Age 6.5 to 16.5
Girls Age 6.5 to 17.5
How much is registration?
Fees this year are 295.00 dollars per player

You will be emailed your information on the September long weekend
When is the season?
September 7,14,21, 28
Playoff games are October 5, 12 & 19
October 26th will be a make-up date if any games need to be cancelled due to weather.
When would we play?
One 20-minute practice followed by a 55-minute game on Saturdays.
Where do we play?
The PRIMARY FIELDS will be at Acadia Athletic Fields (behind tennis courts). Playoff games are scheduled at Acadia but could go to the Shouldice DOME depending on booking availability.
How are teams organized?
Players are placed into divisions (Div 1 - Div 6) with four teams in each division. The youngest players are in Div 1 the oldest in Div6.
Special requests often bump players up or down a division we are able to accommodate only when the overall age range works.
Special requests?
You can make a special request on the registration form to be on a specific team, ask for a specific coach or request to be on the same team as a friend.
When does registration end?
Registrations is still open for anyone that is under 12 years old.
Registrations will remain open for until Sept. 11th or all positions are filled.
NOTE: First games are on Saturday Sept. 6th.
Also we have 4 available spots for anyone that is 14 or 15 years old but you will need to Email: Karen@cyffl.ca to get access to allow you to register.
Playoffs for 2024 start on October 5
6 team division playoff format:
1st place vs 4th place
2nd place vs 6th place
3rd place vs 5th place
The winning team from 1st place vs 4th place will advance to the Championship finals on Oct. 19th. The losing team will advance to the Consolation finals on Oct. 19th
All 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th place teams will play their second playoff game on Oct. 12th. The winning team will advance to either the Championship or Consolation finals on Oct. 19th.
NOTE: Any of the 2nd, 3rd,5th or 6th place team that lose on Oct. 12th will have complete their 2024 season and after team picture return their flag belts and uniforms.
