About

Calgary Flag Football Leagues are Alberta’s largest and most established flag football organization. A grass roots league which has served Calgary's children and youth for over 25 years. We promote non-contact football with an emphasis on safety, good sportsmanship, teamwork, education, and skill development. We are an inclusive program with no tryouts that provides a friendly, diversity inclusive, atmosphere. With the lowest registration fees available, we are financially accessible and partner with KidSport for family funding. Our programs strive to provide the very best football education and experience for Calgary youth.

Calgary Flag Football believes in the benefits of participation in organized youth sports. Our goal is to provide young people of all backgrounds with programs and services that will build the foundation for growth into healthy, competent, and caring leaders in our community. To provide an inclusive and impactful program we have adopted these philosophies:

Inclusivity: Our program goal is to welcome all young people to access to the program and give each player equal ball time and equal opportunity to score. We develop individual skills regardless of talent level and foster a spirit of encouragement and unity between players.

Community: Our goal is to unify teams through the experience of accepting and encouraging each player while fostering good sportsmanship between-teams. Our Coaching staff are trained to encourage skill development, team spirit, ethical conduct, and friendly competition. Our goal is to encourage player effort and development through motivation, education, and respect. We do not subscribe to a win-at-all-costs attitude but instill the principals of good sportsmanship in every facet of our program. Our sense of community grows from a team level to encompass the staff, players, families and entire league.

Accessibility: We welcome and respect diversity in all its forms: Our program is open to any child within the registration age. As a not-for-profit organization, our registration fees will always be kept at the lowest amount possible, and we will partner with organizations that subsidize registration fees.
